On Friday February 27th, RVR hosted our First Annual Benefit Breakfast at Fare Start's downtown restaurant. With broad
community support, the event raised $34,796 for RVR's second year of programming, topping our goal of $30,000.

Hats off to Seattle for launching the very first year-long, co-ed, access-based rowing program in
the country! Rainier Valley Rowing (RVR) is truly one-of-a-kind. So far, we've taught seven
teens to swim, 14 teens to row, and identified more than 30 young people interested in
participating in future seasons.

Do you know a teen who would like to row but has some barriers in their way? Our new Rowing Team wants everyone to get out on the water and enjoy this fun sport.
